Welcome to Beth's Sewing Circle!

If this is your first visit to my site, my main purpose is to display items that I've made. One page is for my things, and another is photos of things that have been made by others that I have taught to sew, embroidery, or do other types of needlecrafts.
I began sewing about grade 6. In our schools way back when, all girls took sewing and cooking classes. I continues to sew my own clothing until I ended high school. I took up sewing again when I was pregnant in 1991 and maternity clothing was too expensive. Later I was making Halloween costumes. I really increased my skills when my daughter got involved in Anime and she wanted costumes.
After moving to Canada, we got involved in historical interpretation groups, which required very specialized clothing. Buying pre-made items was way beyond our budget - so out came my machine and I was sewing and adapting patterns in a way I never thought I would.

During all this time, I kept up my needle skills. About age 7, I learned to embroidery, and a year or two later, started crochet work. These hobbies I have kept up over many years. Unfortunately, I never took pictures, so what I have posted are newer projects.

If you're interested in my classes, just contact me. I'm on the computer often, so you should hear back within a day or two.
